There are times when we are
hungry and small portions simply
will not do. While there are
definitely circumstances where one
can appreciate a small cut of fish, beautifully adorned with a swirl of sauce and topped with a twisted radish and greenery, there are also times when you might prefer a large round plate, stacked high with your favorite pieces of fried goodness.
When small and light just won’t cut it and you are craving something much more more fulfilling, then Dempsey’s Steak and Seafood is the place for
you. Owned and operated by Diane Hennessy, Dempsey’s is that must- go place for when you are needing something rich, home-cooked and unequivocally satisfying.
Hennessy grew up in the restaurant
business working for her parents, Andrew and Diane Marino, at the original Jack Dempsey’s restaurant
in New Orleans. Hennessy would
walk to the restaurant each day after school and on the weekends, where she would help her parents cook and serve amazing Cajun dishes and specialties. No stranger to hard work, Hennessy wanted to have a restaurant of her own. After several years of overcoming obstacles, Hennessy happened across a building for sale on Kiln-Delisle Road. She knew this was the perfect spot and in 2011, Dempsey’s found its home.
My entire meal at Dempsey’s was unbelievably epic. Each dish was crafted to perfection with portions that are definitely not for the weak. Onion rings are a great starter.
