Vancleave, and East Central, no longer synonymous with quiet and nonchalance. Residential and commercial building permits are ying o the county planner’s desk in those “rural” areas.
These pages portray a commonality of a people passionate about their homeland. Growing our own workforce, communally approaching development challenges and opportunities, synchronizing man and nature, celebrating and recognizing chamber members.
I encourage the private, public, and nonpro t sectors of Jackson County to support this e ort with advertising dollars. It is sales dollars that pay for the stories, regardless of the medium. Let’s show up, Jackson County! Play a signi cant role in representing our corner of Coastal
Mississippi.
As I leave you to enjoy this month’s section, I am reminded of a scene from my
Gautier neighborhood lining the shores of the Mississippi Sound. At once, I see the juxtaposed beauty of Jackson County: afar stand the majestic, golden cranes erect in our beloved shipyard, while mere yards away, stand the majestic, feathered cranes shing among the marshes.
