at Gallery 220 and Bay Life in Bay St. Louis and his prints are for sale at the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs.
As a self-employed designer from 1965 to 2003, he won awards from companies including Mercury Outboard Motors and Cook Chemical.
After discovering Bay St. Louis, he and his wife Serena moved there full time. Willey credits Serena with providing some of the inspiration for the Along Beach Boulevard paintings. “She drives along the beach every day to her job at the Silver Slipper Casino, and she’s a keen observer,” he said. “She takes photos of beach scenes for me.”
Willey recently had a month long exhibit at the Gulfport Galleria of Fine Art. For future shows of his work, visit his Facebook page Watercolors by Herb and herbwilley@mac.com.
