Yearly awards were presented to individuals and businesses by the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce at the annual meeting held at Gulf Hills Hotel & Conference Center.

A Night to Wear White at

A Shore Thing for Kids on April 29 is a night to wear white at the Pass Christian Yacht Club. The third annual gala,
7-11 p.m., benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Pass Christian and the Pass Christian Community Sailing Foundation. Music will be by the band, South. Ticket price of $125 is all inclusive.
“The gala features a range of culinary delights, drinks, a live band for dancing and a silent auction,” Yacht Club Manager Clark Brennan said.
A Shore Thing for Kids is the major fundraiser for these organizations, which have partnered to provide community

sailing to children in the Pass Christian/Long Beach area. “Two high school sailing teams have emerged as a result of this partnership, and community awareness is growing
as we are able to provide educational opportunities for children about the ocean; it’s not just about sailing,” Brennan added. “You just need to bring your dancing shoes and come support the cause.”
