Rachel Moran’s sons
Braxton and Hudson love to test out the completed pools.
R achel Moran’s unexpected journey to entrepreneurship all began
when she wanted a backyard oasis
complete with a swimming pool at her Gulfport home.
“I started calling and visiting pool companies in hopes to find the perfect pool for our family,” Moran said.
“After several visits with different companies, I left feeling overwhelmed and stressed about the decision. It was a big investment, and I knew I needed a company that I felt comfortable with.”
Feeling crushed, the Gulfport mom of two young boys, decided she was likely not the only person who felt frustrated with the process of selecting a pool installation company. She took matters into her own hands and enlisted the expertise of her husband, Adam, and his business partner, Landon Parolli, who together own Gulf South Design Group, Inc. in Gulfport.
Gulf South Design Group provides services for site development and landscape construction and has the necessary equipment required for pool installation.
“Adam and Landon have even overseen the installation of pools in the past,” Moran said. “Having someone to manage the pool business was the only thing holding them back from installing pools.” Moran recruited the help of Landon’s wife, Jamie Parolli, who also wanted to be a part of establishing a family-oriented pool company and, after collaborating

together, Sunkissed Pools, LLC was born. The company offers a complete backyard experience with a new wave of pool design, which includes installation, landscaping, outdoor lighting, a custom patio or outdoor kitchen, as well as a fire pit or water feature.
“Our goal was to grow a business that focused on building a relationship with the customer first and to understand their needs,” she said. “It is our priority to have a company that
cares about great customer service and offers attention to detail in
every step of the process. Most importantly, we wanted to help people feel confident when they choose Sunkissed Pools to create their dream backyard.”
Sunkissed Pools is a woman-owned business, and studies show women are resilient in the face of obstacles and
tend to reinvest in their own businesses and communities. Moreover, women
who excel as leaders in their fields, as Moran is, are potential catalysts for overall economic growth, and when one entrepreneur woman rises, all women rise.
“We take pride in our business and our ultimate goal is to create the perfect space for you and your family while minimizing your stress so you can enjoy the project from start to finish,” she said. “Sunkissed Pools and Gulf South Design Group make the perfect pair because together we have the knowledge and experience to turn your outdoor dreams into reality.”
