Hey, y’all! Nicole here, your Gulf Coast Gal. Spring has sprung here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I’m over
the moon! It’s one of my favorite times of the year and I’m here to break down some of the great places to visit to get your home AND garden in tip top shape!
HOME:
Hood’s Home Center of Gulfport – Gulfport
If you have some big DIY projects to tackle, this is the place.
Furniture Galore and More – Biloxi
A great local owned business that’s been a staple on the Coast for years.
The Gumbo Shop – Gautier
This business is one of my favorites to follow on social media. They have such unique items and are always working on projects that breathe new life into older pieces.
Mississippi Antique Gallery – Gulfport
A new business on the Gulf Coast, but boasts itself as being the Largest Antique Mall in Mississippi. This is the kind of place I’d like to get lost in!
Gulf Coast Home – Bay St. Louis
Their store is like stepping into a magazine shoot! You’ll fine tons of furniture, home accessories and even gifts.
GARDEN:
Courtney Farms – Ocean Springs
One of my absolute favorite little places! I love exploring this business each season but it really wows during the spring with all the beautiful colors.
Four Seasons – Woolmarket
Right off of I-10, this place calls my name each time I travel the interstate. They have such a great selection of plants and other garden fixtures, I guarantee you won't leave empty handed.
Island Garden Shoppe – Gulfport
I adore this store! They have some of the most unique plant varieties I’ve seen around, including my recent fave, “Red Hot Cat Tails,” also known as Acalypha pendula.
Fraiser’s Nursery – Biloxi
This sprawling business has more than just plants available from their large greenhouses, they also have those other landscape essentials like sod, mulch, and river rock!
JLC Gardens – Gautier
A fairly new business to the area, this place not only is a great location to pick up your shrubs and flowers, they also offer additional services like garden bed care, lawn maintenance, LED lighting and more.
