A er retiring from a career in fashion and PR at Gayfer’s (and being a self-proclaimed helicopter mom), Amy Peoples Wood decided to give her children a break and give real estate a try. “Initially I thought, ‘who am I going to sell to?’ My friends and family all had houses. en Katrina came – our o ce was gone, thankfully my home was spared,” said Wood. “ So I put my sign out and started selling real estate. People were so grateful to get into a house and get their family together again. I was thankful to be in a position to help when people were in need.”
In 2010, Wood set out to create her own boutique brokerage, special- izing in properties on the Gulf Coast. For her, Real Estate Re-de ned means truly caring about the needs of her clients. Her husband Chuck soon joined her team a er 31 years of working in dentistry. “Having him on the team allows us to provide even better full time service to our clients,” says Wood. “We will continue to add professional minded REALTORS who share our vision, and commitment to outstanding service.”

Wood is a native Mississippian and has lived on the Coast for 40 years. She has been active in many community organiza- tions, is a graduate of Leadership Mississippi, served in 1988 as State President of Business and Professional Women, and is a past board member of the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS.
