Attendance and participation at Biloxi Shuckers games benefits the community as well. In 2016, the Shuckers
and Spectra Food Services & Hospitality raised more than $178,000 for local nonprofits and donated around $30,000 of in-kind contributions. The Shuckers led the 10-member Southern League for in-stadium fundraising.
The Biloxi Shuckers baseball team is a Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Shuckers play in the Southern League. Ground was broken for construction of the ballpark in January 2014, and the first Shuckers game was June 6, 2015. Last year was the first full home season at MGM Park.
