isit Mississippi, the state’s official tourism bureau, recently presented its list of 201 places to eat, stay and play throughout Mississippi on the 2017 Mississippi List.
Ocean Springs businesses featured under the Coastal region include B.B.’s Poboys and
Seafood, French Kiss Pastries, Government Street Grocery, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Murky Waters, Pop Brothers, Greenhouse on Porter, The Inn at Ocean Springs, The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, Tato-Nut, Vestige, Walter Anderson Museum of Art and Woody’s Roadside.
“The Mississippi List is a Mississippi adventurer’s ‘Bucket List for the year’ featuring 201 places throughout Mississippi, organized by region,” said Cynthia Sutton, executive director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau. “We’re excited to have so many local places listed.”

Spring Arts Festival:
Herb, Garden & Art set for March 25 and 26
In a city known for outstanding events, Ocean Springs’ Annual Spring Arts Festival: Herb, Garden & Art is becoming an anticipated event each year and heralds the start of festivals. The 24th festival will be held March 25 from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. and March 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. “This annual festival showcases more than
150 artists, crafters, and plant vendors in downtown Ocean Springs and is a great way
to kick off Spring and Summer,” says Cynthia Sutton, executive director of the Ocean
Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street- Tourism Bureau. “If you have a green thumb, artistic thumb, culinary thumb, or just want to browse, we invite you to join us for a fun-filled weekend.”
The festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society and features plants, herbs, flowers, yard art, paintings, pottery, seasonal ceramics, outdoor furniture, jewelry, colorful scarves and much more.
