Coming from someone, who it took severe pain and agony, to finally get evaluated for colorectal cancer. I thought the same as most who fear the word cancer: colorectal cancer only happens to people over 50, I don’t need to get screened, I am terrified of hospitals. But the reality is cancer has no age limit, no race preference, and is not gender specific. It can creep up on you at
any time as it did to me. The good news is under the best care, you too, can fight this horrible disease whether early or
in latter stages. I have learned that
the health care professionals at the hospital make it a special rather than scary place and want to help. Fortunate for me Memorial Hospital has those special
people who provide the utmost care and compassion to allow you to be a cancer survivor. They push you up the hill and do all they can to keep you there.
