John Fayard Self Storage Opens New Addition

A fourth-generation family business, John Fayard Self Storage has opened a new addition in Gulfport. The new addition on Lorraine Road consists of climate- controlled units inside the tower, with additional covered RV/boat storage and outside non-climate controlled garages.
Asked about the company’s longevity, President John Fayard, Jr. replied, “Our people are the key to our success, quality service day in and day out. We try our very best to exceed our customers’ expectations every day. Paying attention to detail is the most important thing we do! We consider our employees some of the best in our industry and they’re part of our family.”
“Our business is a diversified business; transportation, warehousing, moving
and storage, including expert packing and crating, local moves, office moves, domestic as well as international moving services,” Fayard says. “We have interstate transportation services in 48 states.”
The new self-storage facility features boat and RV storage spaces equipped with 50-amp, 30-amp and 110 power. “Our new climate-controlled facility is suitable for fine arts, antiques, furs and paintings. It’s wind rated for 160 MPH winds and all windows are impact resistant. The building is made up primarily of concrete and steel,” Fayard said.
He explains that climate-controlled storage is more than air conditioning. The storage units maintain a consistent temperature year round which is different from air conditioning. “Climate-controlled storage helps protect valuables from extreme temperature fluctuations that can cause damage or warp or ruin wood furniture, electronics, plastics, etc.”
A few things that require climate-controlled storage space are wine, guns, antiques, musical instruments, vinyl records, upholstered furniture, rugs, important documents, electronics, books, magazines and mattresses. This new addition will provide the opportunity to serve more of the community with the quality storage space and customer-focused service that people have come to know and expect from John Fayard Self Storage.
