Salon Rouge Beautifies Brides on Their Big Days

Amber Lord is the salon owner and a stylist of Salon Rouge. Since she began doing hair in 2007, she’s been helping brides get ready for their big day. The next year, in 2008, she opened her salon. In the following 15+ years, she’s continued to hone her skills by taking training courses and furthering her education.
Lord specializes in lived-in color, color corrections, all coloring services, hair extensions, cutting, and special occasion styling and makeup. Her staff are highly trained and educated stylists that specialize in many different services, including various methods of hair extensions, balayage hair color, cutting, makeup, styling, eyelash extensions, airbrush spray tanning, and more.
“We pretty much have you covered for all of your beauty needs!” she says. “Our goal at Salon Rouge is to give our customers not only the best services out there, but for it to also be in an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, with top notch customer service.”
Lord loves working with brides at their weddings. “My favorite part is not only being a part of one of the most important days of a bride’s life, but making them feel like that princess bride we’ve all thought about since we were little girls!” she explains. “It’s so special!”
In terms of wedding trends for 2023, Lord believes that for makeup, heavy contouring and super defined brows are headed out, while the luminous, natural glowing
skin and more natural toned eyes and lips are coming in. “Brides will still be
bold for pictures, but just not with over-the-top drastic makeup.”
For a bride’s hair, she says that trends will still be loose, soft curls that can be worn up, down, halfway, etc. “Honestly, the most important thing I tell my brides is you wear your hair how you feel comfortable. If you don’t typically wear your hair up on a normal basis, then I don’t recommend it, and vice versa.”
