There’s something amazing brewing
in Gulfport, and it’s the delicious aroma of rich Coast Roast Coffee, fresh baked pastries, warm sandwiches, and much, much more. Layla’s Coffeehouse and Eatery is one of the Coast’s newest spots for all things breakfast, lunch, and soon- to-be dinner, and should be on your immediate list of places to visit.
One look at the menu and the tastes of Nezaty’s might come to mind. A 20-plus year Coastal staple, Nezaty’s was a go-to spot for a quick, yet delectable lunch in
a warm and welcoming environment.
It’s no surprise that its successor, Layla’s Coffeehouse and Eatery, would continue to be a wonderful collection of comforting foods and amazing coffees in an all-around great atmosphere.
Layla’s owner, Linsey O’Keefe, is no stranger to restaurant life, boasting over 10 years in the food service industry. When presented with the opportunity to purchase Nezaty’s, O’Keefe knew that she wanted to embrace the traditions that came with the restaurant’s origins while finding new and
exciting ways to make it her own. Keeping the original menu was
important. Still, O’Keefe wanted to
bring in new items that could easily become restaurant staples, while still complimenting an already cherished menu. The goal was to embrace the Nezaty’s that everyone knew and loved, but help it evolve into something much bigger. Nezaty’s was rebranded and renamed “Layla’s” in honor of O’Keefe’s daughter, and in August 2021, O’Keefe and her staff were thrilled to open the doors at Layla’s brand-new location on Pass Road.
Layla’s is truly a one-stop shop for so many delicious items that are guaranteed to satisfy a variety of appetites. Looking for a quick breakfast on the go? Layla’s grab-n-go breakfast and pastry selection is perfect. Breakfast croissants, scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins and bagels are all available and are easily packed up as a meal on-the-go.
