F eaturing USDA Prime steaks and some of the freshest seafood on the coast, Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood is a Mississippi Gulf Coast premier restaurant. Located at Palace Casino Resort,
Mignon’s is dedicated to creating an enchanting meal with attention to detail, extraordinary service, and delectable cuisine, sure to please even the most discriminating palate.
At the helm of the gourmet restaurant is Chef Adrian Halpaus. While he started his professional career washing dishes, just as many chefs before him have done, his hard work, perseverance and passion for the art has moved him up the line rapidly. Halpaus was fortunate to be taken under the wing of classically trained French chef Jean Claude, of the Victoria House in Lanesboro, Minnesota.
In 2007, Chef Halpaus opened Adrian’s Restaurant in Pascagoula. Local seafood and steaks were featured and were well-received. Unfortunately, in 2012 the restaurant burned to the ground. The following year, Palace Casino Resort contacted Halpaus and soon he was presiding over Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood at the smoke-free resort.
Mignon’s offers a selection of small plates, including Wagyu tataki, oysters and sweet and spicy calamari, and salads and soups, such as luscious lobster bisque. Filet Mignon, Delmonico ribeye and bacon-wrapped filet medallions are just a few of the steak offerings, all of which can be topped with fried oysters, sauteed shrimp, Bearnaise sauce and more. Seafood choices include Chef Adrian’s catch of the day and the popular Gulf Coast grouper with Gulf shrimp and crawfish tails. Pork shank osso bucco with roasted garlic mashed potatoes is just one of several favorites the restaurant serves.
Along with the great food provided by Halpaus and his talented kitchen team, Mignon’s is also committed to making wine an important part of
the overall dining experience. A state-of-the-art Enomatic Wine Dispenser, installed in 2021, allows the restaurant to feature premium wines by the glass that would otherwise only be available by the bottle. With the dispenser, guests are assured to receive fresh wine served at the optimum temperature.
Wine is also the main focus in the restaurant’s popular pairing dinners. Each month, Mignon’s highlights one of the restaurant’s selection of wines. The pairing dinners include a five-course gourmet meal with each course paired with a wine from the featured vineyard of the month.
On Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m., Mignon’s will host a Champagne &
Sparking Wine Dinner. The dinner is $99 per person, and includes such
dishes as Greek salad paired with Domaine Chandon Brut Classic, Coast cioppino paired with Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad Brut and filet mignon paired with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut. Dessert is strawberry cheesecake paired with Mumm Napa Brut Rose.

In March, Ken Wright Cellars will be highlighted, followed by the Robert Keenan Winery in April and Michael David Wines in May. Mignon’s vast selection of fine wines has made the restaurant an Award of Excellence winner for the past 16 years from Wine Spectator magazine.
Also in February, Mignon’s is hosting a special Valentine’s dinner for two that will be served on Monday, February 14. Available from 5 to 10 p.m., the three-course gourmet dinner is $110 per couple or $60 per person.
Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood is open for dinner Thursday through Sunday, 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 228.432.8888 or going online to OpenTable.com.
