Over time, wedding cakes have evolved, dating as far back as the 17th century, created to celebrate the union of a couple. For centuries couples have cut cake together, fed each other and posed for many photos in front of the sweet centerpiece. Even today, cakes can be a major attraction of a wedding reception. Sometimes, cakes greet wedding guests placed front and center upon entry. Often spotlighted, guests always take a look at the cake and de nitely sample its sweetness.

When working with engaged couples, May eld urges them to choose whatever makes them happy. After all it’s their day, and a cake of their dreams is in order.
“Cakes are what made us who we are, so I would say that’s our specialty, but we have a variety of sweat treats and are always trying new things,” she adds. “I will try almost anything if they have an idea, and I will work with them to turn the idea into a delicious piece of art.”
