ROMANCE & WEDDING historic venue
Lasting Memories
story by Lynn Lofton photos courtesy of James Edward Bates
The White House Hotel has a long tradition of creating wonderful memories. It began in 1895 when Cora White opened the White House Hotel’s doors for celebrations, family vacations, dignitaries and business groups. Today, the restaurant that bears her name, Cora’s, is the perfect spot to make lasting memories. The romantic setting can play host to special occasions or a great dinner with family or friends.
Elegant and charming, Cora’s is part of the overall package that is the White House Hotel. Who could forget an
event at this location? The memories begin with the picturesque postcard setting that’s framed with ancient oak trees and has commanding views of the Gulf of Mexico. The building’s classic exterior is a brilliant white
set off by the original columns and dark trim. The beautiful grounds and interior offer many options for special events.
Originally built as a private home, the historic White House was completely renovated in 2014 as a boutique hotel, bar, restaurant and event facility. The Jewel of the Coast
