her mother reigns delightfully over the scene.
Italian porcelain flooring, white quartz counter tops
and white subway tile punch up the open kitchen where ‘50s fiesta ware and whimsical rabbit paintings by Paulette Dove add just the right touches of color.
An antique grandfather clock joins the mid-century table, chairs and china cabinet in the dining room. Jill refers to the clock as “a find” because she got it for $150 and it appraised at $1,400.
A Pat Abernathy portrait of Jill’s great grandmother brightens the master bedroom where a four-poster bed and gold starburst mirror take center stage. A large floor cushion proclaims, “All you need is love...and a dog.” The master bath also has colorful local art, along with
a rustic cedar cabinet for the raised sinks and a soaking tub.
A second bedroom and bath that are equally filled with charm and art make up the remainder of the home.
