purple cabbage, carrots, grapes, pineapple, golden raisins and tortilla strips topped with marinated chicken breasts served with Harborview’s delicious homemade key lime dressing. The café has an assortment of made-in-house dressings with the crowd-pleasing house specialty being the honey poppy seed dressing.
One possibly overlooked item on the menu is an appetizer simply named fried green tomatoes. The combination of the lightly fried tomatoes tossed
in a special concoction of seasonings topped with a hollandaise sauce and lump crab meat will please and fill most diners.
The menu is filled with made-daily seafood soups, fresh garlic-herb wraps, a full range of sandwiches such as the artisan Malibu grilled chicken topped with ham, pineapple and Swiss cheese piled high on a honey-berry whole wheat bread or a Kaiser roll.
The café provides a selection of handcrafted USDA ground chuck burgers with care given to these everyday menu items. They have a Kahlua burger, which is hickory
smoked pulled pork blended with cheddar jack cheese slathered in Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbeque sauce on top of a sizzling burger patty.
There’s an extensive specialty cocktail menu with notable coffee cocktails that are perfect for a date night. The Truffle — a Smirnoff whipped cream vodka, Frangelico coffee elixir topped with whipped cream and English toffee — is especially good. Additionally, they have a selection of winter cocktails specifically designed to warm diners during winter nights. A whisky connoisseur’s favorite would be
the sugar plum whiskey, which is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, cranberry juice, homemade cranberry simple syrup, a splash of house vodka and garnished with orange and sugar plum.
The café has a theme for each day
of the week except Friday: Monday, military 20 percent off; Italian Tuesday with two for one glasses of wine; Prime Rib Wednesday; Chicken and Waffles Thursday; and Family Night Saturday when children eat free.
