Junior Golf Academy of Diamondhead gets underway

Junior Golf on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is about to change! Director of Junior Golf, Coach Jason Gibson, along with Director of Training and Player Support, Hoppy Smith, are launching the Junior Golf Academy of Diamondhead. The Junior Academy will be the first year-round junior golf program on the Mississippi coast utilizing the U.S. Kids Learning
Level program for beginner to elite junior golfers.
“We will have multiple programs to choose from that will
fit each area of the game of golf with the main focus on FUN. We are going to launch our program in late February or early March, and we can’t wait to bring this opportunity
to the junior golfers in the region,” says Jason Gibson, director of junior golf.
The Junior Academy will utilize the professional practice facilities and courses of the Diamondhead Country Club
in beautiful Diamondhead Mississippi. Golf professionals leading the Junior Academy are Gibson and PGA Instructor Jimmy Headrick. The supporting instructors include: PGA Instructor Chris Altese; LPGA Instructor Laura Mccann; Instructor Theo Reshew, GSEB; Mental Coach Jim Simmons; and Strength and Conditioning Coach Shane Levinson.
