AGAINST BREAST CANCER

American Cancer Society: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a national movement that has united people across the country in the fight to end breast cancer.
Making Strides fundraises lifesaving money to support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers. Services include one-on- one breast cancer patient support services; the use of video chat to connect patients, caregivers, and family members with services and resources through the Making Strides website; and a 24/7 helpline.
After skin cancers, breast cancer
is the most common cancer among women. In 2022, approximately 290,560 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an additional approximation of 51,400 people will
be diagnosed with ductal carcinoma. Making Strides is here to help if you
or someone you love is concerned about developing breast cancer, has recently been diagnosed, are going through treatment, or trying to stay well.
Making Strides of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is proud to fund the future of breast cancer research and programs for those diagnosed. On October 15, 2022, Making Strides of the Gulf Coast held their annual walk – keep your eyes peeled for 2023’s walk!
There are three steps you can take to help make strides in the fight to end breast cancer:
1. Sign up with Making Strides! You can have a team or participate on your own.
2. Recruit friends and family! The more people participating, the more power to end breast cancer.
3. Raise money for Making Strides! Send messages, set up social media fundraisers, or take a look at their tips and tools of fundraising.
