Will O’Neal led a normal life until two years ago when he was diagnosed with leukemia. The radiation treatments, which were administered during his several week-long hospital stays, were incredibly painful. So much so, that they were forced to strap him to the bed. When he finally was released, he felt like he had little to live for and was wheelchair bound.
But when Kidz Outdoors arranged for him to go on a white tail deer hunt, he literally stood from his chair upon seeing the deer. Since then, the wheelchair has been relegated to the closet and the doctor says that his change in attitude has had a remarkable effect on his health.
On the hunt with Steve, Will bagged a monster, trophy-sized aoudad sheep. Not surprisingly, he was elated. His dad calls the Kidz folks three times each week to express his heartfelt thanks.
