The floors are covered in a durable tile that looks like wood. These wood tones and the dark wooden dining table and chairs anchor the room’s pale shades.
An island separates the kitchen from the other areas. It’s covered with non- porous quartz that Jordan says is easy to clean. Two gold lantern-style lights hang overhead. Jordan points out that the lanterns are open, without glass, making them easier to keep clean.
The kitchen is a much used part of the house. “I like to cook, mostly Italian food, and my dad is Jordanian so we
like that too,” Jordan said. Jars of pasta are lined up along the counter top ready when inspiration strikes. The stove’s custom-made hood extends to the ceiling and some glass-fronted cabinets display collectibles.
