ome of Grace is a nationally known addiction recovery program that has helped tens of thousands of individuals battle and overcome all types of addiction. In operation since 1965, the ministry has used hands-on experience to build an addiction recovery program filled
with success stories. Their mission is to offer freedom from addiction through Christ-centered recovery.
“It is the Home of Grace’s aspirational goal to see everyone free from addiction,” Executive Director Josh Barton said. “For some, this may seem like an impossible task, but the foundation of the program is built on the belief that God has the power to break the chains of addiction in any man or woman so they might become the person they were created to be.”
Located on two state-of-the-art campuses, the program offers a comfortable and secluded home away from distractions
and negative influences. The three-month stay consists of
an orientation to the Christ-centered program followed by two distinct phases. Each phase builds upon the other and
has specific focus, established goals, responsibilities, and requirements for successful completion. Emphasis is placed on spiritual disciplines necessary for lasting recovery and is achieved through classroom work, individual and group counseling, work therapy, and community living.
“Every addict is someone’s son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, or friend,” Barton said. “An example is a young man who came to the Home of Grace after serving jail time for multiple DUIs. He was at a crossroads. So many people in his life were glad he chose life through the help of Home of Grace.”
Today, that young man is ‘paying it forward’ by being an accountability partner to a fellow addict, leading his church’s recovery program on a weekly basis and making a way for others who desire change to come to the Home of Grace.
