Eleven years ago, Mary and I debuted South Mississippi Living as a way to tell the many positive stories taking place along the Coast — keep in mind, it was December 2006, just 14 months after Hurricane Katrina. Even with all the devastation still in plain sight, the Coast was showing outstanding resolve to overcome the storm damage and build back bigger and better.
Since then, and with every passing year, our beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast has healed many of the wounds and instead of empty lots, we have fantastic new businesses, beautiful new homes and a revitalized economy.
What we like to focus on is the unique people, places and events that make South Mississippi such a wonderful place to live, work, raise a family and welcome millions of tourists each year.
Over the past eleven years, we have published 130 issues of South Mississippi Living, which included more than 23,000 pages of local content with more than 3,400 stories
President, M2 Media Corp
written by local writers and read by more than 7 million in print and online. More than 91,000 CLICK photos of locals have been published since 2006 and our company, M2 Media Corp., has topped $600,000 in donations of space and cash in support of regional charities, which makes us especially proud!
All of this would be impossible without our amazing team of sales representatives, editors, writers, photographers, designers, distributors and managers who dedicate much of their lives to create South Mississippi Living each month. We are blessed to have their talents and dedication on our team.
We must also thank our loyal advertisers who invest in our mission and make it possible to publish a first-class lifestyle magazine. Because of their financial support, we can provide 180,000 free copies annually.
Mary and I love what we do and love living in South Mississippi!
