For many, retirement is a major life milestone marking the ending of one era and the beginning of another chapter. It’s trading in long hours at the office for never-ending days of playing golf, traveling, or beachside picnics with the grandchildren. And the Gulf Coast has often been viewed as the beach mecca to move to when retirement is on the horizon.
“A lot of people pay to come here and stay for a week or a weekend,” Jeff DeLuke said. “We are literally living right in the middle of a place that people come to for their vacations and we can enjoy it every single day. We never take that for granted, that it’s the perfect place for our retirement.”
