About This Issue
November is a time of thankfulness. Of spending time with loved ones, both old and young. Of sharing cherished memories and making new ones. From our M2 Media family to yours, we hope you have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
This month, we celebrate the Golden Years – those years after a fulfilling career and raising a family in which we look forward to taking time
for ourselves, enjoying our hobbies, maybe even traveling. In this special section, we’ll cover everything from senior activities and lifelong learning to long term care planning and the benefits of retiring on the Mississippi Gulf Coast – and there are a great many of those!
Also in this issue, we have eight full pages of coverage from the Renaissance the Runway fashion show. This event is about so much more than apparel; it’s about raising money to give back to our community. South Mississippi Living is proud to sponsor this amazing event, which this year raised more than $250,000 for the Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi.
One of my personal favorites from this month is a fact versus fiction piece about the new Amazon Prime movie The Burial, which tells the story of the Gulf Coast’s own Jeremiah “Jerry” O’Keefe and lawyer Willie E. Gary and their landmark triumph against a large corporation. Be sure to brush up on all the facts before watching the movie!
