South Mississippi has finally felt the welcome chill of fall, and I for one couldn’t be happier. We might not get snow, but we Coasties sure enjoy what autumn weather we do get! The cooler air is the perfect excuse to bundle up with a warm drink and enjoy the changing of the seasons.
Thanksgiving is one of my all time favorite holidays. While the eating is pretty good all year round in the South, it’s not every day you get to share a table with your loved ones all in one place. It’s a true blessing, and something I’m very thankful for.
If you’ve not elevated your Thanksgiving spread with a fried turkey yet, this year might be the perfect time to give it a try! Check out our Dining section for a detailed (and very humorous) guide on how to (and how not to) fry your Cajun bird.
