Unveiling a new hotel during a pandemic has been a bit of a challenge, but after postponing the grand opening an extra five months, the hotel opened to a packed house for Cruisin’ the Coast. “We felt like our community was ready for a feeling of light at the end of the tunnel,” said Tessy Lambert, the hotel’s director of public relations. “We are hoping an opening like this can, in some way, provide that.”
Each room is designed with luxury vintage décor, premium beds, oversized showers and large screen televisions. Rooms also o er guests wet bars and some suites have dedicated private lounges for gatherings.
Modeled after the legendary supper clubs of the 1930s and 1940s, the Sapphire Supper Club takes center stage o ering diners classic Gulf Coast cuisine and even mixes in live music on the weekends. The restaurant’s custom- made illuminating
tables provide special ambiance to add to the delicious dining experience.
First course o erings include baked oysters, tru led French fries and steak tartare. For the main course, seafood lovers can choose an array of fish o erings from Chilean sea bass to grilled lobster and local Gulf fish. Meat eaters have several options with steak cuts from filet mignon to a 24-ounce cowboy ribeye with options for enhancement toppings. And those with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed with specialties like mile- high pie and a traditional crème brûlée.
On the hotel’s second floor, three meeting rooms are available for events and seminars. With limited meeting space, the hotel ensures that each group will be a priority, o ering service that’s beyond compare. The beautiful pool deck o ers additional space and is already set to host many future
parties, o ering private cabanas and an intimate fire pit as well as a full-service bar.
Hotel Legends is working diligently
to keep surfaces clean and all areas sanitized during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the entire property and elevator capacity is limited during this time. Hotel sta  encourage spacing in public areas to allow guests
to socially distance from others. The sta  also encourages anyone displaying symptoms to postpone their visit to Hotel Legends until feeling well. All of these guidelines are to ensure that guests stay safe and healthy.
