Summer eld Senior Living, owner of three senior care communities in Hammond and Slidell,Louisiana which each o er independent living, assisted living and memory care, recently announced the late fall opening of its newest community in Gulfport. The new location represents a $12 million investment in Mississippi and will create more 45 full-time and 13 part-time jobs for the Coast area.
Summer eld Senior Living of Gulfport will feature 88 apartment- style residences, 18 of which will be exclusively dedicated to Memory Care. Currently under construction, the campus has eight interconnected buildings, but unlike most senior living communities in the area, it sits on 21 acres of rolling land and is the rst Summer eld location to feature a pecan orchard, bocce court, a stocked shing pond with pier, a bird sanctuary, a barn with horses, cows, goats, chickens and ducks, a resident greenhouse, a crop garden and more.
The location o of North Swan Road just east of Highway 49 and north of I-10, provides a high and dry location with easy access through free community-provided transportation to all of the Gulf Coast attractions, including dining shopping and more.
Residents will be treated to chef-prepared meals in a restaurant-style setting with outdoor dining areas available as well. The community will also o er daily activities curated by a designated activity coordinator with the goal of creating fun, engaging and bene cial activities. Other community amenities are designed to contribute to an active and social lifestyle, such as large gathering areas, courtyards, a bird sanctuary, a putting green and a bocce court, a shing pier and more.
