THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPE

hanksgiving is a time when friends and families gather at the table to give thanks, fellowship, and, of course, share a hearty meal. If you’re like me, decorating is half the fun
of any holiday. While it’s easy to pop into a party or craft store and buy pre-made decorations, I truly enjoy putting together different elements to create something unique.
For this month’s cover, we created our own Thanksgiving tablescape, but the best part is that the decorations are all from local retailers. From Hancock to Jackson counties, we scoured stores looking for
the perfect items for our arrangement. As we went from store to store, we were greeted by welcoming faces and kind words. We were even sent by store owners themselves to other nearby shops that they thought could help us find what we were looking for, even if that meant we wouldn’t be getting anything from them. If that’s
not community, I don’t know what is.
