In October, CTA began running six new hybrid/electric buses. “It’s part of our commitment to alternative fuels,” he said. “Our community is meeting the current EPA standards. We’re
going to run propane in our smaller
buses. It’s very inexpensive.
Plus, all of our buses on our fixed routes have three bike racks. We carry more than a thousand bike riders a month.”
Coggin is excited about the January launch of the fleet’s newest member, the Sunshine Express, a yellow and blue bus that will not be hard to
spot along the Gulf Coast. “It’s a 40- foot diesel,” he said. “It’s different from anything we’ve run. It’s more like a motor coach. It will have phone chargers and individual air

Casino Hopper
Coast Transit Authority provides a casino hopper trolley Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. until 9:10 p.m. The trolley runs every 45 minutes along Highway 90, Caillavet Street and Bayview Avenue in Biloxi. It’s a convenient, inexpensive way to travel to casinos, attractions and businesses.
