DINING eat-OHR-y
MEET OUR
Chef
Brandi St. Cyr is serving up fresh- from-the-farm ingredients with a
dash of creativity at The EAT-OHR-Y, located inside the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art’s welcome center. From her apple stack — apple, goat cheese, cranberries and pecans, drizzled
with a balsamic vinaigrette on a bed of greens — to
her Mississippi
Hippie pot roast
sandwich, nearly everything is made with fresh and locally produced ingredients.
A New Orleans
native, St. Cyr grew up
on the Mississippi Coast and
has worked in the restaurant industry 15 years. She is inspired by those who appreciate her passion for food. “I love the reaction people have when they take their first bite of food that I have poured my heart into,” she said.
“I have always loved food, feeding people, and the constant growth and ability to be creative.”
St. Cyr has been a restaurant owner for the past three years, starting with a pop-up cafe at the local farmers market to the opening at the museum. She
has worked hard to get where she
is and offers this advice to
those wanting to pursue a career in
the industry, “Stick with it when times
get hard and use every opportunity to really learn your
craft.”
The EAT-OHR-Y is open Friday and
Saturday, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., but will soon be open full-time. Catering service is also available for meetings and events. The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art is located at 386 Beach Blvd., Biloxi.
