It takes an army of volunteers to pull off Mississippi’s largest festival and welcome thousands of visitors to Ocean Springs. Let’s take a look behind the scenes at those involved in important roles to make it all happen.
Judy and Fred Thurman run the ‘hospitalities’ — four places within the festival that serve as comfort areas for the nearly 450 vendors.“It really takes a full team to execute a festival such as this,” says Cynthia Sutton, executive director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau.“Fred and Judy Thurman have been an integral part of what makes this festival so successful. They help manage a full team of volunteers for our hospitalities for a full weekend. They are
truly part of the core team that makes everything behind the scenes happen and appear so smooth from the outside.”
