ascagoula High School teachers Allison and Toben Dubose — like many Americans — were carrying around
extra weight that was robbing them of energy and wellness. Working with licensed facilitator Crystal Asbury, the couple went on phase one of 2030 Fast Track – Listen to Your Body and are pleased with the results.
Toben, a Navy veteran who now teaches polymer science and coaches volleyball, started June 15 weighing 346 pounds. He had been approved for a
knee replacement by the Veterans Administration, but had to be down
to 300 pounds before the surgery.
At press time (mid September)
he weighed 286 pounds and was scheduled for surgery in late November. He plans to continue losing weight with a goal of 250 pounds.
“My assistant coach found this program so she, my wife and I agreed
to do it together. We’ve kept each other on track,” he said. “In addition
to wanting the knee replacement, our daughter Jordan plays on the team and I want to be a healthy example for her and the other students.”
Health benefits he has already realized include
no longer needing to take antacid pills and allergy medication, decreased blood pressure and more ease of movement.
Allison Dubose, a special education teacher, wanted to be a better role model for Jordan and the other students in addition to gaining health benefits. “My biggest motivation was for improved health. I had zero energy and was pretty much lethargic after work,” she said. “Also, I have an only child and did not want her to feel the need to take care of an ailing parent
in the years to come because I did not take care of myself.”
She says 2030 Fast Track was just
the opposite of any program she had been on before. “There were days that I could not get in all the food I was supposed to be eating,” she said. “The program took me back to the way I ate when I was growing up and we always ate home cooked meals that were healthy.”
Allison has lost over 25 lbs as well as 25 inches in total along with increased energy and reduced stress.
The 2030 Fast Track Gulf Coast program shows individuals, groups and organizations how to eliminate stress and balance the 7 hormones that prevent you from losing weight and maintaining optimal health.
The program was developed by
a national weight loss leader and hormone specialist and operates with an advisory board that includes healthcare professionals.
