About This Issue
Happy New Year, South Mississippi!
This is the time of year we all look forward to, with new beginnings and some much-needed rest after the holidays. Another thing I love about January is our Faces of South Mississippi issue, where we’ll get to know some of the Coast’s familiar faces – and some not-so-familiar too.
We hope you’ll love learning about these Coasties as much as we enjoyed getting to know them! From the smiling faces of some of the Coast’s leading medical professionals to the folks who make things happen behind the scenes, this issue is filled with unforgettable people. On the cover is Gianna Milanese, the Face of the Next Generation of Bay Pest Control! You may have seen her as the Bay Pest Control bee in their commercials, but we love this chic and stylized bee look. Special thanks to our friends at Gulf Hills Hotel & Resort for the enchanting backdrop!
In our People section, read all about Christen Duhé, one of the Coast’s youngest (and funniest) movers and shakers, who is also skilled in the art of comedy. From her day job at the Gulf Coast Community Foundations to nights spent delivering laughter and smiles, Duhé’s passion for bettering the lives of others is unmatched.
For our foodies, we have two more exciting dining reviews for you this month: Indian Delight and Kitchen Sisters Meal Prep. One of the new kids on the block in Ocean Springs, Indian Delight has quickly become a local favorite. And over in Pascagoula, the sisters behind Kitchen Sisters are inventing healthy and delicious variations of your family’s favorites. Also in our Dining section, check out an amazing recipe for the tried and true Mississippi Pot Roast, but in po’boy form!
