CYNTHIA SUTTON
If you’ve spent any time in the historic arts community known as Ocean Springs, you’ve probably seen Cynthia Sutton.
A native to the city, Sutton serves as
the executive director for the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street – Tourism Bureau. She overseas
and manages all efforts for the three tier organization including creating, planning, and executing community events, including the award-winning Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival.
“I feel this job and the organization as
a whole make a difference in the lives of those who pass through Ocean Springs
and help provide a great quality of life to Coastal Mississippi residents and visitors alike,” she says. “This is the kind of job that helps provide opportunities for families to
have a wonderful vacation experience, business owners to thrive and support
their families, and gives artists the opportunity
to create. What I like most about what I do
is seeing the smiles on the faces of family members,
artists, and business owners.”
