Excel by 5 is proud to support families with children ages 0-5 for over 20 years. Biloxi Excel by 5 has been aiding the Gulf Coast for over 10 years.
Excel by 5 is an early childhood community initiative focusing on
the community’s young children. The initiative will better prepare children for school, emphasizing the important roles parents, early childhood educators, and communities play during the most formative years – birth to age 5.
The nonprofit helps to connect parents and children with resources and services available to them to help children lead strong and healthy lives.
The mission? To give every child a chance to live up to their potential, and to make a positive impact on children’s lives and in Biloxi’s future.
Biloxi Public Schools is a major partner, providing space for the Family Resource Center along with building maintenance and utilities; staff members; media and Facebook coverage; and information and correspondence to parents.
Biloxi Excel by 5 has many programs for children to attend, including Teaching Tots on Tuesdays; a yearly immunization fair for school-aged children; Art on Wheels with educational partner child care centers; and hosting holiday-specific events, like Gobble Gobble Turkey Fun Day and Come Learn with Santa.
Community partners include IP Casino; Biloxi Schools; City of Biloxi; and families, businesses and friends of Biloxi Excel by 5.
