About This Issue
We’re starting the new year off right with one
of my favorite special sections, Faces of South Mississippi, where we’ll get to know some of the Coast’s familiar faces – and some not-so-familiar too. We had a blast putting this section together
and learning about each of this year’s featured Coasties. From the smiling faces of some of the Coast’s leading dentists to the folks who make things happen behind the scenes, this issue is filled with unforgettable people. On the cover are some of the sixth generation members of the Bradford-O’Keefe legacy. Meet the rest of the family in this section as well!
In our People section, meet the women behind South Mississippi podcast Don’t Tell Maw Maw. These sassy, opinionated Southern women are a pleasure to listen to and have a truly inspirational story to tell. Also in this section, meet three amazing women who are living life to the fullest at Seashore Highlands Retirement Community. Would you believe that these beautiful ladies are 100 years old?
For our foodies, we have two more exciting dining reviews for you this month: The Lady May in Ocean Springs and Rock n’ Roll Sushi, which has locations in both Gulfport and D’Iberville. One
of the new kids on the block in Downtown Ocean Springs, The Lady May is sure to delight with their nostalgic take on Southern classics. Over at Rock n’ Roll, you’re sure to love the over-the-top rock-n-roll atmosphere and aptly-named sushi rolls!
Closing out this issue, Chuck Wood with Amy Wood Properties shares his perspective on the importance of community involvement and details his own passion for volunteer work.
