SYDNEY HARRIS, OWNER
Sydney Harris has been working in retail since she was 16 years old. She opened an online boutique at 18 and never looked back. A year later, she opened her first storefront. In June 2021, she was approached and given the opportunity to buy Chandeleur Outfitters, an established Coast business since 1999. By August, she was the new owner and hit the ground running with her new business.
“I love Chandeleur Outfitters because I get to be the best
version of myself day in and day out,” Harris says. “I get to help customers, do what I love most, and be a part of this community. I
love getting to work even when I’m not at work.”
Harris is a new member of the Ocean Springs Chamber of
Commerce and loves being able to support other local businesses. While she was born in Hurley, she has lived in Ocean Springs
since she was 10 years old and has lived there ever since. She loves Coastal Mississippi because of the weather – minus the humidity, that is. “I love that we can wear shorts and flip-flops pretty much year-round!”
Harris views herself as a go-getter and is a proud dog mom to mini-dachshund, Annabelle.
