to stay in Old Town – they can come for one of our festivals and stay right in Downtown Bay St. Louis and not have to drive elsewhere to get a room. We’re hoping in 2020 to develop and renovate the depot district. We hope to get more restaurants in there and we would even like to have an amphitheater there one day.”
Favre is also optimistic about the expansion at the city’s harbor. The more than $2 million project will add 45 additional boat slips, bringing its total to 255. He said
the expansion should bring additional revenues to the downtown area.

add a pedestrian walkway from the harbor. We’re excited about 2020 for Bay St. Louis. We’re also looking to grow the area near Highway 90 and Highway 603, but we’re waiting to hear back from FEMA on it because of the high elevation building requirement. But we have a lot
of interest in people building and locating in that area.”
