This year will be busy for the
City of Moss Point. Just as they’re coming off 2018 with a long list of accomplishments, projections for 2019 are also positive. City leaders have adopted a mission that states, “Building a sustainable Moss Point through progressive leadership, fiscal transparency, and public safety while enhancing the quality of life through equity, economic growth and diversity.” There is also a vision, which is to have a community that embraces culture and promotes diversity. and breathe new life into the community so that we’ll reach our full potential,” Mayor Mario King says. “Team Rejuvenate is made up of a diverse and qualified group of individuals that was developed as the guiding coalition to produce the mission and enact the city’s vision.”
The team is led by the mayor and includes staff, business owners, community members, and other regional and state leaders. The city has many plus factors, including convenient access for economic growth through the use of the interstate, waterways, railroads and air transit. It also has a clean natural environment, varied sources of recreation — especially on the water — city services and reasonable taxes.
Moss Point’s Highway 63 corridor is becoming a mecca for automobile dealerships led by the Estabrook family, long time dealership owners in Jackson County, who opened a Toyota franchise there. Mayor King says the Estabrooks also plan to
