On Jan. 6, Beau Rivage Resort
& Casino is hosting “Hope From John Ellis,” a benefit for the One Wing Foundation, a nonprofit that raises and distributes funds to organizations for medical, physical and grief recovery
of parents who
have experienced
pregnancy or
infant loss. The
celebration will
take place from
6-10 p.m. and
include a southern
comfort style
buffet, silent
auction and live
music from Castle
Crown.
“On Jan. 6, 2017,
John Ellis was born into heaven
at 35 weeks gestation. This event is to honor his purpose and life
on what would have been his first birthday. Our hope for this benefit
is to keep John Ellis’ love alive and to bring stillbirth and intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy awareness to light, as well as raise enough funds for a Cuddle Cot to donate to a local hospital in John Ellis’
name.” says Elisabeth Naff, John Ellis’ mother.
The One Wing Foundation was co-formed by the Aldredge family in memory of Olivia Lynn Aldredge, who was lost to stillbirth at 37 weeks gestation on Feb. 20, 2105.
In Texas, One Wing Foundation allocated $48, 500 to nine
different beneficiaries. Through the event at Beau Rivage, One Wing Foundation hopes to raise enough funds to help those in need in Mississippi.
