The start of a new year often feels overwhelming after the holiday hustle. Why not take a day to unwind and indulge in some well-deserved pampering? Island View and Smoke- Free Beach View Casino Resorts’ Blue Shell Spa offers just that—a luxurious lineup of massages, facials, manicures, and more!
Located on the second floor of the Beach View Tower, Blue Shell Spa is a serene escape. The moment you step inside, tension begins to melt away. The friendly, well-trained staff at the front desk is ready to assist with every detail of your visit.
The spa features separate dressing areas for men and women, complete with restrooms, showers, vanities, and lockers. Guests can slip into cozy robes and slippers and unwind in the quiet, coed waiting room or remain in street clothes until their treatment begins. When I visited, I opted for full comfort right away. Wrapped in a soft, oversized robe and sipping hot tea, I felt relaxation set in before my treatment even started.
Soon, I was called to the treatment room—a clean, cool space designed for tranquility. From the plush massage tables to the soft music and gentle lighting, every detail enhanced the soothing atmosphere. I chose a custom massage, one of the spa’s newest offerings. It includes your choice of aromatherapy oil and an enhancement. Options include hot stones, a hot oil scalp massage, or a back or foot scrub. I selected hot stones for extra indulgence!
My therapist, KC, asked about my preferred pressure. Though she usually focuses on working out knots, she graciously adapted to my request for a light touch. For aromatherapy,
I picked peppermint, known to boost mental clarity, reduce stress, and relieve inflammation.
KC began with a gentle scalp and neck massage, then worked down to my arms, legs, and back. The warm, smooth stones added a luxurious touch. In just 50 minutes, I was transported to a state of pure peace.
Blue Shell Spa offers a variety of massages, including Swedish, stone, aromatherapy, and therapeutic options. Couples massages and prenatal massages are also available. Sessions range from 25-minute upper body or foot massages to 80-minute full treatments. Enhancements like Himalayan salt scrubs and cupping can be added for extra benefits.
Still floating from my massage, I headed to my spa pedicure. I sank into a plush chair as my feet soaked in warm water infused with mango-papaya skin softener. Simply delightful! The spa also offers manicures, polish changes, and nail services for men and women.
Beyond nails, guests can enjoy facials, waxing, tinting, and body treatments such as the Himalayan salt detox, seaweed wrap, and signature body therapy.
My visit left me glowing both inside and out! Rejuvenated and relaxed, I was ready for shopping, dining, or maybe a little luck at the casino. In Coastal Mississippi, the world truly is your oyster!
