From the Ocean’s Depths
to the Far Reaches of Space
Have you heard about the virtual reality exhibit that lets you unleash your perception? Or the hurricane prediction lab that allows you to monitor and track massive storms? What about the carnivorous plants conservatory? Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
That’s just a handful of exhibits you can explore without bounds at the official NASA visitor center host, the INFINITY Science Center in Pearlington. This unique science museum includes two stories of indoor and outdoor exhibits and more than 50 years of NASA history on display. The non-profit, self-guided facility delivers an engaging learning experience for guests of all ages with numerous exhibits that focus on space, but that’s not all. The state-of-the-art center also features an immersive blend of space exploration, Earth science, engineering, and technology. Annually, it sees more than 75,000 visitors.
The fun begins before you even walk through the door thanks to massive outdoor sites like a colossal rocket engine. Just inside the front entrance, you’ll find science galleries with hands-on learning experiences like Perception Unleashed and Deep Ocean Explorer. You’ll also see
the conservatory filled with more than 200 species of carnivorous plants.
As you make your way through the museum, you’ll come across the Hurricane Prediction Lab and you can even catch a movie while you’re at INFINITY in the 3D Immersion Theater. The theater offers films such as “Dinosaurs of Antarctica,” “Astronauts: Oceans to Orbit,” “Secrets of the
