The Hancock County Community Committee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering community spirit through events that celebrate Hancock County’s heritage, agriculture, industry, and businesses. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to create enjoyable family events where both young and old can showcase their skills and hard work to their community.
Each year, the Hancock County Fair is a beloved tradition that brings thousands together for four days of excitement and entertainment. The 12th Annual Hancock County Fair will take place September 10-13, 2025, at the Hancock County Fairgrounds in Kiln, Mississippi.
With live entertainment, midway games
and rides, local arts and crafts, livestock exhibits, and food from local restaurants and vendors, there’s truly something for everyone. Wednesday features Christian Night, Thursday
hosts barrel racing, Friday spotlights high school rodeo, and Saturday features horse races and junior high rodeo. Plus, 80 percent of fair profits go toward improving the Hancock County Arena and its facilities—helping to enhance this community space for future generations.
Beyond the fair, the Committee hosts several
free family-friendly events throughout the year.
The Committee also hosts Elves in the Park on December 18, 2025, and the Easter Egg-travaganza on April 4, 2026—both free events full of holiday fun, contests, and community cheer at McLeod Park.
