Deer Island Cleanup
Several Gulf Coast casinos joined with Mississippi Power’s Renew Our Rivers campaign in May helping pick up trash and debris on Deer Island. After a two-year hiatus during the
pandemic, volunteers enjoyed being back on the island spending hours with the clean-up initiative. Casinos participating in the effort included Beau Rivage, Hard Rock and Harrah’s Gulf Coast. Since the campaign began in 2005, volunteers have removed more than 362 tons of debris from about 20 waterways, including Deer Island.
Cleaning Up
For more than
a decade, Beau Rivage team members have come together each Earth Day to invest in the planet. On April 22, more than 50 Beau Rivage volunteers picked up trash on the beach between Beau Rivage and the Biloxi Lighthouse. When finished, they had a truckload of debris and litter.
Back-To-School Rally
Hollywood Casino Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino Tunica participated in the annual Tunica County Sheriff’s Office National Night Out/Back to School Rally at the G.W. Henderson Recreational Center. General Manager Matt Heiskell and executive team members were on hand at the event, greeting participants and handing out colorful new backpacks to all young school children.
Backpacks For Students
Horseshoe Tunica recently donated 70 backpacks and three cases of hand sanitizer for children in the surrounding area served by Sacred Heart Southern Missions. Pictured with the

TITO Donation
Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast donated $4,445 to the Hancock County Community Foundation. Casino executives presented the donation to the foundation’s officials in June. The money was raised
through guest donations of their casino ticket-in, ticket-out vouchers.
