 International Women’s Day
On International Women’s Day, team members at two Mississippi casinos paid tribute to the women who
have shaped their past and inspired their future. Female team members at Riverwalk Casino Hotel (left) in Vicksburg and Horseshoe Tunica (above) gathered for photos to celebrate the day, which has origins that date back more than 100 years. International Women’s Day is recognized annually on March 8. This year’s theme was “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.”
   Wearing Their Support
Team members at Horseshoe Tunica show support for many causes and help raise awareness for issues important to their co-workers, friends and family. January was National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and team members wore blue (top). April was Autism Awareness Month, and team members sported colorful T-shirts featuring a puzzle piece design to symbolize the desire to fit individuals with autism into society.
     Going Red
Team members at Ameristar Casino Hotel (above) in Vicksburg and Trop Greenville supported the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement by wearing red on the first Friday in February. The campaign works to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease, the No. 1 killer of
women. At the Vicksburg property, the panel spent time learning how to recognize signs of distress and how to administer CPR.
