take top annual awards
at Silver Slipper banquet
HANCOCK COUNTY — Silver Slipper Casino Hotel held its 2022 Employee and Supervisor/Manager of the Year banquet in January at the Diamondhead Country Club. All 2022 nominees were honored before the winners were announced.

IT systems tech supervisor, was awarded 2022 Supervisor of the Year.
A Day One employee, Sachs was called “dependable, hardworking, and dedicated.” Not
only does she properly train new cocktail servers, she works to provide excellent guest service and cares about her job and her guests. Louque started working at Silver Slipper in April 2022. She takes initiative with various tasks and always does more than what is expected of her. She is committed to making sure that each guest has a great stay.
Matthews started at the property in 2010 and was promoted to his current position in 2017. Experienced in both the operational and technical sides of surveillance, he recently detected a scam taking placing in the casino and was able to provide appropriate action in a timely manner to stop it.

Hard Rock employees received awards and recognition as part of Rocker Appreciation Day.
Rockers of the Year named at Hard Rock
BILOXI — Hard Rock Biloxi presented its annual awards to employees as part of Rocker Appreciation Day in March. At the festive event, the Rockers of the Year were named, and several other employees received brand recognition.
Honored during the awards ceremony were Melanie Givens, slots, receiving the Take Time To Be Kind award; Amanda Flannigan, nightlife, All Is One award; Doug Bond, facilities, Save the Planet award; and Jacqueline Stierwald, beverage, Love All Serve
All award. Tyrone Simmonds, guest services, received the Hard Rock Brand Ambassador award, and Justin Lyons, table games, was given the Ownership Award.

Receiving the Rocker of the Year
award for the gaming division was Christine Sylvester, marketing; and Rocker of the Year for the non-gaming division was Jo Ann Fountain, human resources. Producer of the Year for the property was April Gossett, finance.
Harlow’s Casino honors top team members of the year
GREENVILLE — Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa recently held a banquet to name its Team Members and Leader of the Year for 2022. The winning employees provided exemplary guest service to external and internal guests during the past year.
Martha Washington, laundry attendant, and Ed Chan, lead slot technician, were named Team Members of the Year. Chan has
more than 25 years of gaming experience as a slot technician, and both were cited for going above and beyond in their duties.
Ahmad Redmond, marketing manager, and Brenda Chillis, kitchen supervisor, were named Team Leaders of the Year. Redmond has more than 20 years of experience, while Chillis was recently promoted in her role.
