Emerging Leaders graduate
VICKSBURG — Ameristar Casino Hotel recently graduated its first class of Emerging Leaders,
a 12-week training program that equips team members to lead from where they are within the organization. The program also introduces team members to the essentials of effective leadership that are aligned with the leadership goals of its parent company, Penn National Gaming.
The program works to enhance personal and professional skills through focused training, challenging assignments, and conversations with senior and executive leadership.
“Ameristar Vicksburg was one of the first properties within Penn to launch a program designed to help guide participants through the fundamentals of becoming a leader,” said Vice President/General Manager Maureen Wasloski.
Graduates included Amy Bockman, human resources coordinator; Mae Turner-Bell, Player Services assistant shift manager; Mark McGraw, marketing coordinator; Alfred Webb, revenue audit assistant manager; Jasmine Judge, surveillance agent; Tionne Canda, hospitality host; and Madison Thomason, CMMS specialist.

You’re Our Hero
Fitz Casino & Hotel recognized two employees as Fitz Heroes. Blake Toney, facilities senior engineer, and LeDetrick Watts, security master officer, went above and beyond the call of duty and displayed extraordinary
