Celebrating Five Years
The Sportsbooks at Pearl River Resort and Bok Homa Casino recently marked five years of operation. The celebrations included T-shirt giveaways and prize drawings for guests. Casino leaders joined Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Chief Cyrus Ben and tribal council members in the celebration at Pearl River Resort (left), which also featured anniversary cake. At Bok Homa (right), cutting an anniversary cake was Michelle York, director of resort operations, and tribal council members Berdie Steve, Chris Eaves and Sam John.

recognized for
length of service
BILOXI — Beau Rivage recognized more than 1,300 employees who have been with MGM Resorts for five or
more years during a Years of Service Recognition Ceremony held in September. All together, 1,337 employees were presented with a certificate and pin showcasing their years of service with the company.
Five team members, including John Kindinger, David Ziglar, Dragan Veselinovic, Anne Mockler and Nick Greatbatch, were showcased for having 30-plus years at MGM Resorts. And,
14 team members were recognized
for having 25 to 30 years with the company. Those team members are: Hal Fountain, Tony Veal, Norma McCain, Brenda Harkleroad, Leonard Masino, Charles Dunaway, Joan Tuite, Teresa Malone, Rachel Hebert, Shawn Roof, Jody Vizzini, Yolanda Migliaccio, Denise Becker and Darren Dexter.
Additionally, 327 team members marked 20 to 25 years with the company, while 337 marked 15 to 20 years; 220 marked 10 to 15 years, and 439 team members celebrated five to 10 years with MGM Resorts.
More than 1,300 Beau Rivage employees were honored recently. Each employee received a certificate and pin indicating their years of service with MGM Resorts.
Magnolia Bluffs increases community commitment
NATCHEZ — It was Oct. 3, 2022, when Saratoga Casino Holdings officially closed on the purchase of Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel in Natchez. To mark its one-year anniversary, the
property hosted a player
appreciation event and
upped its commitment to the community of Natchez.
Natchez Youth Center, as well as the ongoing renovation of the Duncan Park Clubhouse. The donation for 2023 will increase to $273,000.
“An overarching goal of
our company is giving back to
the communities in which we
operate,” said Sam Gerrity,
chief executive officer of
Saratoga Casino Holdings.
“Throughout our history
we’ve given over $3 million to organizations whose core missions are to improve the quality of life in their local communities. That same value holds true here in Natchez, a community in which we consider ourselves honored to be a part of.”
Aside from contributing more than $75,000 in the past year to community events through sponsorships, charitable giving and volunteerism, Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel is also the sole contributor to the Natchez Community Development Fund allocated for economic and community development. In 2022, the property donated $243,000 to the
fund. A portion of those dollars has gone toward the recent reopening of the North

Magnolia Bluffs Vice President and General Manager Tim Morrissey has been actively involved in the community since taking over at the property. “The people of Natchez have been extremely welcoming and I truly enjoy being a part
of this community,” he said. “I take great pride in being an active member of many local organizations and look forward to leading the Community Development Fund to achieve the best benefit for the local community.”
Magnolia Bluffs opened in 2012. The smoke-free property features more than 450 slot machines, 11 table games, a restaurant and bar, sportsbook and a 141-room hotel located off-site.
